Les voleurs de feu

FROM 30 MAY TO 01 NOVEMBER 2020

La Coopérative-Musée Cérès franco is pleased to welcome you from tuesday to sunday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., to discover its new exhibition Les voleurs de feu. All health mesures are taken to receive you in the best conditions. Face coverings are required for the protection of yourself and others into the museum.

As the exhibition curator, Dominique Polad-Hardouin has taken the bias of profusion and abundance - more than four hundred and fifty works and one hundred and fifty artists - to reveal all representative facets of the collection and to show the diversity and  richness of the works gathered by Cérès Franco since more than forty years, from the beginning of the 60's to the 2000s.

Les voleurs de feu presents the french New Figuration, CoBra movement, autodidacts came from Europe or Brazilians', Maroccans' or Tunisians' confins, and outsiders artists alongside majors artists, just like the borderless art that Cérès Franco has always defended.

Among them, Stani Nitkowski, Hugh Weiss, Abraham Hadad, Mao To-Laï and Alejandro Marcos are particularly highlighted. An astonishing portrait serie of Cérès Franco is also exhibited.
